IGJI was started with the aim of becoming a one-stop-shop for international quality education, testing services and providing authentic, certified gemstones.

Set up at a prime location in Kolkata, IGJI has modern air-conditioned classrooms, latest audio-visual teaching aids, a well furnished library and a live job database.

Tailored for all, we provide a wide variety of part time, distance learning and customized programs, ranging from basics to more advanced courses – such as those on diamond grading and jewellery design.

With a vast collection of diamonds and other rare gemstones available for live demonstrations, IGJI believes in providing hands-on high quality education.

Designed to maximize learning, we organize several industrial visits, lectures, seminars and workshops which are conducted by qualified industry experts and experienced professionals.

We also have a well furnished library, replete with the most comprehensive range of reference books, CD’s, manuals and magazines and a live database of relevant job openings in order to habilitate students into the industry.

Laboratory Services

Upholding the highest standards of quality, IGJI has set up an international standard laboratory, furnished with cutting-edge gem testing equipment, modern technology, and extremely qualified gemologists who test and certify your diamonds and gemstones.

With an exceedingly advanced set-up, we provide Diamond Grading, Gemstone Identification, Jewellery Quality Analysis and Sealed Report facilities, along with an additional ‘report verification service’ – allowing you to instantly match your paper report with the one archived in our database.
