International Gem & Jewellery Illustration ("IGJI", "we", "us") provides gemstone identification, jewellery appraisal, diamond grading and certification services. Reports issued reflect the findings of our laboratory at the time of examination, based on standard gemmological testing methods and equipment available to us.
While every reasonable care is taken to ensure the accuracy of our reports, gemstone identification and grading involve professional judgement. IGJI does not guarantee a particular commercial valuation, and reports should not be treated as a valuation for insurance or resale purposes unless explicitly stated.
Each report issued by IGJI carries a unique report number and, for reports issued from 2026 onward, a scannable QR code. These allow the authenticity of a report to be verified online. IGJI is not responsible for reports that have been altered, forged, or otherwise tampered with after issuance.
Items submitted for testing are handled with reasonable care while in our custody. Clients are encouraged to review any item upon collection and report discrepancies promptly.
Testing fees and expected turnaround times are communicated at the time of submission and may vary depending on the type and complexity of the item(s) submitted.
IGJI's liability in connection with any report or service is limited to the fees paid for that specific service, except where liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your submission applies to that transaction.
